Rick Kinsey, Host of "Deep Cuts"
Trained at the early age of 12 on reel to
reel tapes by his older brother Bill (who
was also a DJ), Rick learned how to blend
songs for an optimum listening experience.
Deep Cuts was conceived from the
Underground FM stations of the late 60’s
and early 70’s where album cuts were
played commercial free. Like those early
shows, Rick tries to plan and organize the
music with the intention of allowing the
listener to experience the meaning and
message of the song. It’s all about the
music.
Rick is also a private pilot. He and his
wife, Kathy, love to hike and travel, and of
course, attend live music events.
Joe Montes, "Joe's Roadhouse"
Joe's Roadhouse is a show that pulls together the
best commercial recordings along with the archives
of live shows from Joe's Roadhouse and the Texas
Roadhouse television show bringing in a wide range of
musical styles. It's that rare kind of show nowadays
which features Blues and Rock and Roll with Soul,
Funk, Jazz, Texas Outlaw Country and so much
more.
Joining together with Frank Cupal who would be the
audio engineer for Joe's Roadhouse Joe started a
monthly live broadcast series on Houston radio. This
music series featured the best musicians from the
great State of Texas and beyond.
